Who We Are

WesCorp’s Financial Solutions Group (FSG)
With good risk management you can create better products
for your members, and improve your financial performance.
FSG will help you manage risk and uncover hidden opportunities
in your balance sheet. The group will make recommendations
to help you:

Brad Cunningham
Vice President, Financial Consulting Services |
|
| With more than 30 years of experience, Brad
Cunningham’s expertise results in the delivery of effective
balance sheet management solutions that address issues of
concern or capitalize on opportunities to help credit unions
better serve their members while enhancing returns.
Prior to joining WesCorp, Brad was Manager of Funding, Liquidity
and Capital Management for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and responsible
for a Hybrid ARM portfolio of more than $7 billion. He also
has previous experience as the Chief Investment/ALCO Officer
of Brenton Banks, headquartered in Iowa. Brad was responsible
for managing the bank’s net interest margin with specific
responsibilities for loan and liability pricing, funding,
liquidity, and position management. In addition to managing
the bank’s investment portfolio and the Trust Department’s
fixed income assets, he was responsible for hedging the bank’s
mortgage pipeline. Prior to joining Brenton, Brad worked for
Boatmen’s Bancshares as a Senior Portfolio Manager providing
assistance to the company’s 52 subsidiary banks with
their investment portfolios and risk management.
Brad received his Bachelors of Business Administration, with
a concentration in Finance, from the University of New Mexico.
He is also a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s
Southwestern Graduate School of Banking and has taught classes
on managing interest rate risk for the American Bankers Association. |

Bill Verret
Senior Interest Rate Risk Consultant |
|
| Bill Verret’s primary responsibility
within WesCorp’s Financial Solutions Group is working
with members to analyze their balance sheets and identify
areas of risk and opportunity. He has been a part of the financial
services industry for over 17 years.
Prior to joining WesCorp, Bill was Vice President of Financial
Planning and Analysis for Downey Savings and Loan. His group
was responsible for the bank’s interest rate risk measurement,
strategic planning, budgeting, Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR)
valuation, ALCO reporting, and various components of financial,
SEC, and regulatory reporting.
Prior to his position at Downey Savings, Bill was Vice President
at Hawthorne Savings where he was also responsible for the
bank’s interest rate risk measurement, strategic planning,
budgeting, and ALCO reporting functions. Bill was also an
Assistant Vice President in the Treasury and Secondary Marketing
departments at Home Savings of America where he also held
positions in the real estate owned and accounting departments.
Bill received his Bachelors of Finance from Louisiana State
University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. |

David Scott
Senior Interest Rate Risk Consultant |
|
| For more than 26 years, David Scott has excelled
in the world of finance. Currently, he’s applying his
experience within WesCorp’s Financial Solutions Group,
where his primary responsibility is working with members to
analyze their balance sheets and identify areas of risk and
opportunity. David also provides balance sheet management
education to ALCO and Board of Directors, participates in
strategic planning sessions and speaks at WesCorp events on
asset/liability management topics.
Prior to joining WesCorp, David worked at Home Savings of
America in the mergers and acquisitions group and in the retail
banking division. David’s career covers work in a number
of different capacities in the financial services industry.
His experience includes working for a banking regulatory agency
and commercial lending.
David received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree
from Loyola Marymount University. He is also a graduate of
Western CUNA Management School, Gamma Class of 2005. |

Dan Kokoszka
Senior Interest Rate Risk Consultant |
|
| Dan Kokoszka, with more than 20 years of
corporate financial experience, is currently responsible for
identifying and quantifying the interest rate risk that resides
in member credit union balance sheets. In addition, he performs
various "what-if" analyses to fit the individual
needs of WesCorp’s clients.
His prior experience includes leading the fixed income team
that managed institutional client accounts in the Core-Plus
bond investment style at Wells Capital Management. In addition,
he managed the multi-sector and corporate bond mutual funds.
Previously he worked for Bradford & Marzec where he was
on the international bond portfolio management team. He also
worked for the Lockheed Corporation in the corporate finance,
mergers and acquisitions and venture capital areas.
Dan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified
Management Accountant (CMA) designations. In addition, he
holds an MBA, corporate accounting
and applied economics from the University of Rochester, Rochester,
N.Y., a master’s from George Washington University,
Washington, D.C. and a bachelor’s degree from Villanova
University, Villanova, PA. He also passed the Certified Public
Accountant exam in 1993. |

Dan Frilot
Interest Rate Risk Consultant |

| As an Interest Rate Risk Consultant within
FSG, Dan’s primary responsibility is working with members
to analyze their balance sheets, identify areas of risk and
opportunity for the members, and help members manage to their
capital adequacy targets.
Dan has been in the financial services industry for more than
19 years, 15 of which have been in credit unions. Prior to
joining the FSG team, Dan’s experience at WesCorp includes
building and managing the corporate credit union’s nearly
$1 billion loan participation program for member credit unions
and overseeing the secondary marketing activity for these
loan assets. He also served as a securities and counterparty
credit analyst for WesCorp’s own investment portfolio.
Before joining WesCorp, Dan worked at Security Pacific and
Bank of America where he held various management positions
in correspondent and commercial banking units. Dan has a Bachelors
degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance
from California State University, Fullerton, and a Masters
degree in Business from California Polytechnic University,
Pomona. He is also a graduate of Western CUNA management School, Zeta Class of 2008. |

Ernst Soriano
Interest Rate Risk Consultant |

| Ernst Soriano has been in the financial services
industry for more than 18 years. In 2007, he made the switch
from banks to credit unions working for WesCorp’s FSG
team, where he conducts extensive asset/liability analyses
for credit unions regarding interest rate risk assessment.
Prior to his time at WesCorp, Ernst finished his time in the
banking industry as AVP for Downey
Savings and Loan Association where he performed extensive
asset/liability analyses of the institution’s interest
rate risk exposure and composed long-term balance sheet and
income forecasts for the institution’s senior management.
Previous to that, Ernst worked at Vineyard Bank in Irvine
as an Asset/Liability Manager. There, he oversaw the monthly
interest rate risk and net income exposure analyses along
with conducting pre-purchase securities analyses to measure
the impact on the firm’s theoretical market value in
various rate environments.
Ernst began his career at Western Federal Savings Bank where
he was a Senior Accounting Analyst. There, he was responsible
for the financial reporting of the company’s mortgage
backed securities investment portfolio, and provided data on
market value, gains, losses, and liquidity of the securities.
Ernst received his higher education at Loyola Marymount University
in Los Angeles where he earned a degree in Business Administration,
a minor in Economics, and followed that by earning his MBA,
also at Loyola Marymount. |

Vince Herman
Manager, Derivative Hedging Program |
|
| Vince Herman manages WesCorp’s extensive
efforts in developing risk management and derivative hedging
solutions for credit unions. Vince’s background encompasses
more than 20 years of finance and derivative product experience
with investment banks, Fortune 500 companies, hedge funds,
municipalities, and most recently, credit unions.
Prior to joining WesCorp, Vince was the co-founder of the
Infiniti Advisory Group LLC, a Chicago-based financial advisory
firm providing risk management and financial derivative advice
to state, city and county municipalities.
Before Infiniti, Vince spent over six years with First Chicago/Bank
One in Chicago as a Vice President managing the Institutional
Derivatives Marketing Group as well as creating the bank’s
structured derivative products unit. Vince was also responsible
for teaching the derivative portion of the bank’s analyst
training program. Additionally, he spent two years with NationsBank
CRT in Chicago structuring and marketing interest rate derivatives
to financial institution and hedge fund clients.
Prior to his time in Chicago, Vince spent more than six years
with Lehman Brothers Inc. in New York, trading and risk-managing
interest swap and mortgage derivative product portfolios.
He also spent four years with Bankers Trust Company in New
York, trading and managing interest rate and municipal swap
portfolios, as well as establishing the structured derivative
product operations group, which handled all operational concerns
for non-standard derivative transactions.
Vince holds a bachelors degree in Finance with minors in Economics
and Marketing from Pennsylvania State University in University
