(SAN DIMAS, CALIFORNIA)—— After partnering for the last three years in the delivery of complimentary informational and educational presentations to America's credit unions via the Internet, as both LIVE and archived programs, officials at Western Corporate Federal Credit Union (WesCorp) announced today the completion of the purchase of CIA Studios from The Rochdale Group, a credit union management consulting firm. The new, yet-to-be named webcast studio and production facility will continue to deliver the first-class level of service CIA Studios has always shown to its affiliates and clients. In addition, it will also expand WesCorp's webcasting efforts into a number of new arenas.
"As a premier financial education resource within the credit union industry, WesCorp wishes to increase its educational programming to all credit unions, creating many new internal, member and public presentations for placement on our Web-based delivery channels," explained Joe Keller, WesCorp's Manager of Webcasting Services. "As we looked to the future of webcasting, both CIA Studios and WesCorp realized that improvements could not be made to our current level of webcast technology and quality service without additional resources. This prompted the exchange of ownership we are announcing today."
WesCorp's purchase gives the new entity a fresh cache of resources that promises to take webcasting to a whole new level within the credit union industry. Besides its ability to offer additional IT knowledge and technical expertise in webcasting, WesCorp also plans to serve as a conduit for introducing new organizations to this distinct communications medium. Most important, it will provide the necessary financial resources that will give all credit unions and affiliate organizations easy access not only to a technology that is state-of-the-art, but to an expanded offering of informational programming and professional expertise as well.
WesCorp's webcast applications have grown dramatically during the last several years to include a number of instructional and educational offerings, among them being the popular Market Update and Breaking News presentations by renowned credit union market analyst, Dwight Johnston. In addition, WesCorp's annual program, Operation Best Wishes, conducted in partnership with the Defense Credit Union Council, offers another perspective in the use of webcast technology by affording military families an opportunity to webcast holiday greetings to their deployed loved ones. These programs and many more yet to be conceived are in line to benefit by the purchase made public today.
