Celebrating 40 Years of Serving Member Credit Unions
Mark your calendars today to attend WesCorp’s premier educational showcase on May 18–21—the 2009 Annual Meeting & Future Forum. The event will be held at Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, Calif. As the financial services landscape becomes increasingly competitive, the need for credit unions to distinguish themselves from other providers—not just banks—becomes paramount. While most of us acknowledge the value and benefits of being cooperatively owned financial institutions focused on providing value to consumers, we face a number of challenges in leveraging that unique proposition.

Join us for WesCorp’s 2009 Future Forum where you’ll hear from an extraordinary assembly of some of the most outstanding speakers on such relevant topics as the global and U.S. economies, innovative business and accounting strategies, and practical approaches to excellence.

Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference for your credit union and help us celebrate our 40-year anniversary at the 2009 Annual Meeting & Future Forum.

Operation Best Wishes completes fifth national tour of cooperative venture
Operation Best Wishes, the annual holiday program that sees military families tap the webcast resources of Overland Studios to send special Web greetings to their deployed loved ones, completed its fifth national tour on Tuesday, December 30, courtesy of Visterra Credit Union. The Moreno Valley, Calif.-based financial cooperative was the final stop among 12 military-affiliated credit unions located throughout the country that hosted the award-winning program through the holidays.

Operation Best Wishes, offered on behalf of America's credit unions, sets up a mobile webcast studio where spouses and family members are given access to a complimentary Web recording session of up to 10 minutes. The greetings are webcast LIVE on the Internet using a secured access channel, in addition to being recorded and posted to the Operation Best Wishes Web site. Military stationed abroad can either view the webcast LIVE, or as a recorded archive at a later time and as often as they wish.

WesCorp’s Overland Studios traveled to 12 military credit unions this past holiday season:
Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union at Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY (October 24)
Sentinel Federal Credit Union at Ellsworth AFB, Rapid City, SD (October 27)
AmeriCU Credit Union at Fort Drum, Watertown, NY (November 4)
Navy Federal Credit Union at Naval Submarine Base, New London, CT (November 7)
VyStar Credit Union at Jacksonville Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL (November 12)
GeoVista Federal Credit Union at Fort Stewart, Hinesville, GA (November 14)
America's Credit Union at Fort Lewis, WA (November 21)
Pacific Marine Credit Union at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA (December 1)
Barksdale Federal Credit Union at Barksdale AFB and Fort Polk, Leesville, LA (December 8)
Pentagon Federal Credit Union at Fort Hood, Texas (December 11)
Travis Credit Union at Travis AFB, Vacaville, CA (December 19)
Visterra Credit Union at March AFB, Moreno Valley, CA (December 30)

Operation Best Wishes is sponsored through a partnership of the Defense Credit Union Council, Overland Studios and the member credit unions of WesCorp.

Just another way cooperative support makes a difference.
