Complimentary Webcasts: A Valuable Cooperative Resource
One critical component of WesCorp’s mission is to continually provide member education by utilizing cost-effective webcast technology. Last year alone, WesCorp’s Overland Studios produced 40 free webcasts at its studio in San Dimas, Calif., and at several external locations around the U.S. The total cost savings for members and other credit unions attending these free webcasts in 2008 was more than $2 million.
Below are five regularly scheduled webcasts that credit union leaders can view live or archived at no cost:
Beyond the Balance Sheet with Walt Laskos
Breaking News with Dwight Johnston
CEO Leadership Table with Ken Lyall
CU Essentials with Amy Rapp
Quarterly Market Review & Outlook with Dwight Johnston and guests
Quarterly Safety & Soundness Reviews with CFO, Jim Hayes
In addition, WesCorp’s Overland Studios produces several other webcasts and on-location production events throughout the year such as:
- CU SIP and HARP information
- Purchase One card program development
- Remote Deposit Capture education
- Operation Best Wishes at military credit unions
- International Credit Union Day live interviews
- CUSO awareness webcast development

Celebrating 40 Years of Serving Member Credit Unions
Mark your calendars today to attend WesCorp’s educational showcase on May 18–21—the 2009 Annual Meeting & Future Forum. The event will be held at the Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, Calif. As the financial services landscape becomes increasingly competitive, the need for credit unions to distinguish themselves from other providers—not just banks—becomes paramount. While most of us acknowledge the value and benefits of being cooperatively owned financial institutions focused on providing value to consumers, we face a number of challenges in leveraging that unique proposition.
Join us for WesCorp’s 2009 Future Forum where you’ll hear from an extraordinary assembly of some of the most outstanding speakers on such relevant topics as the global and U.S. economies, innovative business and accounting strategies, and practical approaches to excellence.
Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference for your credit union and help us celebrate our 40-year anniversary at the 2009 Annual Meeting & Future Forum.
